Don’t we all need a good old Pamper Session every now and then? Well I do and as I’m nearing the end of term at Uni I for sure welcome any Pamper Session I can fit in. There are many ways to destress. So today I’ll tell you about my fave ones. There will be some short pamper sessions as some that take a little bit more of your time.
A quick Pamper Session for during the week
I have Uni from Monday to Friday and so my days are filled with lectures, studying and home work. But whenever I feel like I need a few minutes to myself, I try to do so. The easiest way for me to destress is by sitting down, sipping some tea and flicking through a magazine or listening to an audiobook. At the moment I’m listening to Harry Potter. This way I take about 15 min to myself. It allows me to destress and do something for my soul too (a Pamper Session for your soul basically). After this quick “pamper session” I feel ready to tackle the rest of the day and my mind is refreshed.
Another thing to do when pampering yourself during the week is a face mask! I slob it on before I take a shower, let it do it’s magic and rinse it off in the shower. Afterwards I continue with my usual skin care routine. Taking the time to do a face mask not only helps with getting some me-time in, cooperating face mask into your skin care routine is set to help with any problems your skin might get and I just love the way my face feels after a good face mask.
Pampering Session on the weekend
On the weekends or on your day off, we all have some more time at our hands. And this is the perfect occasion for an good old Pamper Session. Like even invite your girl friends over and have a big Pamper Session together. There have to be face masks, manicures, some snacks and drinks. It has been ages since I’ve done such one. But last week I went on a spa afternoon with my lovely friend to a Hammam. I had a lovely time and my body felt amazing afterwards from all the steam, heat, masks etc.
So when you don’t wanna splash out on a spa day/afternoon out you can do it all by yourself at home ad at no or really little cost. When I am alone I like to take a long hot shower (a bath would be amazing too), then I pamper my skin with a body cream and add a face mask. My two fave ones are the L’Oreal face mask with active cole and the Rosy Cheeks from Lush. I often combine them. To freshen up my face after the mask I like to spray a good amount of the Eau Roma Water from Lush on. It’s a toner but you can use it to energies your face too.
At the weekends I have time to do my nails too and it goes so well with my Pamper Sessions. A fresh manicure is always a nice touch. I protect my nails with the OPI Natural Nails Base Coat. Letting my manicure dry I like to put on a series, another audio book or just put my feet up and have a little snooze. Not to forget my hair, every other week I try to fit in a hair mask. I take cold pressed coconut oil (I get mine from the local supermarket in the cooking section). Taking a big blob I massage my scalp with it, the lather another big blob all over the rest of my hair and let it sit for at least two hours. After using the coconut mask my hair feels ten times more nourished and so smooth.
Destress and practise some self-love
All the things above you can obviously do with your friends too. Maybe leave the shower out. And like I said why not put together some fancy drink and have some snacks ready. This way you get a Pampering Session with a great catch up and lots of laughter with your friends. Another way to prevent stress also it to have a stress free morning routine. I wrote a blog post about that here. But whenever you’re in need of some time for your body and soul, try out any of my Pamper Sessions.
However my Pamper Session might look like, it’s always a good way to destress from life and stuff and gives me time to just take a few minutes/hours to myself. I find it so important to look after yourself and to give yourself some love every now ad then. You will see the benefits are just amazing and you will have so much more energy to get on with your day or feel refreshed for the coming week.
So tell me how do you like to destress? And do you do any Pamper Sessions every now and then? Thanks for stopping by and having a read through my post. If you liked it why not follow me on Bloglovin and my other social media to stay up to date.
Have a lovely day, xx
Coconut oil is the best! I use it in my hair and in my sugar scrubs. I’m going to go set up my own pamper session! Yay!
It really is! Oh that’s a good suggestion, need to try it with my sugar scrub too. Have fun pampering yourself. xx

They are great. And as they wash and not peel of they really are so gentle to your face! xx
Such a wonderful post! I love masks, i use at least one every week. I also enjoy candles in the evening, a book and a glass of wine.
Thanks so much Helen. Oh that sounds like a lovely evening too. Might have to switch it up too and go with a glass of wine every now and then. xx
I literally just put up my de-stress post haha! We are in syc, I like to go out in the woods with my dog, although a good pamper and a bath is much appreciated too! x

You know what I love most about this post? These are all things that can be done even if you don’t have all the time in the world. Being a mom of 3 boys it feels like I always have to fight for some spa time (oh how times have changed), but with your suggestions and tips I can actually do these things in between the million other things that need to get done! I have never thought about the coconut hair mask! I love it, gonna try that ASAP! Thanks!
Ah thanks so much Ella. The coconut hair mask is amazing you can even sleep in it for a even greater effect. xx

Thanks so much Adele. Your words just made me smile. xx
Coconut oil is the BEST!!! I use it on everything!! I spend quality time with fur babies as they are my salvation and give me so much love, and just make me feel better. But I also love to chill out to trashy tv that I don’t have to think and can just lose myself in for a few hours and that helps me to destress, all while with a facial mask! xx

It really is the best! Oh yes some good old trash TV can be such a great way to just chill out and destress. I used to have a dog and loved spending time with him so I totally get how calming some minutes/hours with your fur babies can be. xx
Coconut oil is the best!!! I destress with a mini spa day at home. Mask, scrubs, mani, pedi with a glass of wine or 4 lol. Haven’t tried the sugar scrub though. I may add it to my new regime
Yay for Coconut Oil – you really can’t go wrong with it. Your spa day sounds great too! xx
Such great ideas! I need a pamper session myself!
Thanks Brittany. xx
I don’t feel like myself if I don’t have at least one day set aside a week for a little pampering, Sunday evenings with a nice bubble bath are always my favourite, fresh for the week ahead! This post has reminded me how long it’s been since I took a visit to Lush, I could spend all day in a Lush store, I’ve never tried Rosy Cheeks but I’ve seen so many people say good things about it I’m thinking I may need to jump on that band wagon. Your photo’s are lovely 🙂
Xo Gemma
Thanks Gemma. Oh I miss a good bubble bath, anytime I’m on holiday and I have a bathtub in my room I make a trip down to a Lush Store and get some bath bombs etc. The rosy cheeks face mask is definitely worth a try. I find it a really calming mask. xx
